Privacy Policy

Effective Date: December 1st, 2022

This document entails the privacy policy and agreement you accept when adding Disconnect to a server or as a member of such a server. This document does not supersede the Discord Terms of Service.

Welcome

This privacy policy explains what user data we collect and how we use, store, protect, or share it through our Service. The entire document covers specifics, but below is a short overview of this policy.

  • We understand the importance of privacy and are committed to our policies transparency.
  • We do not sell your data.
  • We do not store unnecessary data. Any data that is accumulated is what is required for the service to function as intended.

Terminology

  • Server Manager - Any who can add the bot to a server or configure the bot for the server.
  • Server Member - Anyone who is a member of a server to which the bot has been added
  • Service User - Anyone who authorizes an application (logs in) for a scope that provides additional information or uses the site. The OAuth connection with Discord lists these scopes and information provided to us.

Data Collected by Command

The following items may be accumulated when intentionally provided by a user (usually by means of a command). This data will not be collected automatically and only when a user interacts directly with our bot or service. When providing data in this way, you forego any right to the content provided.

  • Timezones and Identification Information (profiles / ID)
  • Server configurations and settings
  • Selected roles and emojis
  • Data and content for automated tasks (reminders)
  • Discord user, message, and server IDs to store data listed above

Data Collected When Enabled

These items will be automatically collected when the bot is first intentionally provided to a user (in the form of a command). All accumulated information is stored to configure and perform actions when a user requests. These features are always opt-in; thus, this data will only be collected if necessary for proper functionality.

  • Server Id and configurations
  • Select roles and emojis

Data Collected by Authorization

This data may be collected when authorizing an application, such as logging in to a side via Discord Oauth2. This data is also outlined on the authorization page.

  • Username, Discord Id, and Avatar Data
  • SaaS data that you upload \ provide yourself
  • List of guilds (servers) your account is connected to
  • E-mail address
  • OAuth connections you link within our services

Data Storage

All stored data is kept on protected servers. While storage methods vary, most information is kept within password-protected distributed MongoDB servers. Remember that no data can ever be 100% secure, even with these protections. All efforts are taken to keep your data safe and private, with countless security measures.

Feedback

Any feedback, comments, suggestions, and bug reports are all appreciated. When you submit such or any other form of feedback, you forego any rights to the provided feedback's content, title, or intent. Additionally, the input may be utilized in any way and subject to GitHub's and Discords Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Agreement

By adding any Disconnect Bot to your server or using this bot or services in any way, including partner services that run on our infrastructure, you are consenting to the policies outlined in this document. In addition, you (the server manager or service user) agree to inform your members of the Discord Developer Terms of Service and the contents of this document. If you, the server manager, do not agree to this document, you may remove the bot. If you, the server member, do not agree to this document, you may leave the server that contains the bot. If you, the service user, do not agree to this document, you may revoke authorization of the applications in your 'Authorized Apps' menu. All data related to your user will be deleted at your request or within 3-6 months after not being seen by our services bots, depending on said service or bot.
